Fishing Reports

This was the view at Vidas Landing today. There are still some open pockets here and there but we're definitely building ice now. It won't be long, if our temps remain where they are, before we can pull out the portables!

There was ice on the river today! Temps stayed around zero all day today and will remain cold through the week.
We got a couple inches of snow yesterday and it's snowing again. A couple more inches is expected tonight also. Winter is definitely here!

I took a picture from on top of the Rapid River bridge today to show the Clementson Bay. As you can see the Rainy just beyond the bay is still open, we're hoping the cooler temps headed our way will put a sheet of ice on the river as well!

We hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

Here's Nick's 6 pointer. His brother Ryan was there to give him a hand.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Good news for all you ice anglers! Today a coat of snow covered the ice that's building in Baudette Bay, Silver Creek and here at Clementson Bay! Cooler temps in the forecast will be helpful for it to continue too.

Another deer season has come and gone. We seen some pretty good size deer from the season. Hunters around here were satisfied!

We'll continue to keep you up to date on the ice progress, you all know I'm just itching for the 1st ice bite!

Nick got his deer over the weekend! A 6 point buck, so he was happy. I'll be posting pics soon.
The fishing has been a little quiet lately. Morning and evening have been best as usual. I went out a couple evenings lately, didn't catch many but the ones I did were all just over 20 inches, none smaller to keep.
It's windy and cooler today so we're getting ready for the next up coming season! Ice fishing! I can't wait!

The fishing and weather has been up and down this week. We had a front go through to leave us with a coating of snow. Great for tracking deer, but instability makes the fishing harder. Good news for the anglers though, the weather is stabilizing for the weekend and temps should be slightly above normal.

River continues to get better. Levels are still high but reports from the last group was 1/2oz was getting to the bottom. Their still catching along the shoreline where it's more shallow. Almost every color has been producing and morning and evening are still the best bite.

My brother Matt got himself an 8 pt buck today and boy was it a beauty. He weighed in at 205lbs. Great deer Matt!
Nick's is still out there somewhere and you can bet he'll be looking every chance he gets!
Fishing has been very good! The water has finally got colder and cleaner. Although the current is fast, it's not as fast as it was. Groups have been catching many walleye and limiting out. One group reported releasing three 26 inch walleye the other day.
Check out the brag board for a great 41 inch northern Chris S caught and released yesterday up by Morris Point!
