The Ackney group has been doing well catching a variety of species this weekend. I'm posting more of their catches on the brag board. Good Job!

The fishing has been up and down mimicking the weather. Friday was good fishing with nice weather, Friday night it rained with wind and sun on Saturday so fishing was ok. Today we had overcast and fishing was good for some but not for others. Morning seemed better today.

The last day of sturgeon season today and they were very active for some anglers today and yesterday. Catching and releasing them in double digits.

Just a reminder tomorrow is the last day to tag your sturgeon for the year! This one was caught and released on the count it was over the slot size at 54". Nice catch!
Happy Birthday to Art today!
36 years old and I'm still waiting for him to grow up! Oh well, maybe next year!

Bill and fellow angler Ron launched yesterday at about 11am and were back with a 29 inch walleye in minutes! It was the first catch of the day for Bill! He had his one over 28" and said if he left now he'd be a happy man, but Ron wasn't quite ready to leave so soon and talked him into going for 4 under 19.5 " now. Great job Bill!

Shiners were running again last night. Their good size but we'd like the water to get a little cooler. Currently the temp is 58 degrees.

Weather temp has been cool and sunny. Today we're waiting for some fog to burn off for a beautiful day!

The Beall group have been doing well this week despite the up and down weather pattern. Terry has been doing particularly well shown here with a 24" walleye. Some more of his catches are shown on the Brag Board. Good Job Terry!

Their group is doing well at many different depths. Today it was cooler with cloud cover. They did well while others struggled a bit.

Shiners were running again last night, however water temp has increased abit with a temp now slightly above 60 degrees.

Arik was able to tag his sturgeon for the year last night right out front of here! The weather has been absolutely beautiful the last couple days to fish too!

Crumby weather didn't keep these anglers on shore! The Poe group caught quite a few walleye this week and managed to find some with a little size, Mike caught this 24 incher. We got more pics on the brag board.
We got a late cancellation for any large groups still looking for lodging in October. Sleeps 6! It won't last long so give us a call!

Today was a great day for sturgeon! The Shaw group caught and released numerous large sturgeon this week! You can check out some of their photos on the brag board!

After the clouds and fog cleared today it turned into a beautiful day! With the exception of Thursday, the nice weather is expected to carry through the weekend too!

The Poe group caught six different species yesterday! Here's a few of their keepers.

Water temp is currently around 56 degrees so walleyes are biting more and more and are showing sizes around 15-17 inches with some around 20 inches. A 25.5" was found as well.

The color jig that's been hitting well is white glow with a shiner. Jigging right off the bottom. Depth has been good 17 to 18 feet.

Sturgeon have been hitting again and we have quite a few anglers this week are taking advantage of the end of that season!

Fall is definitely here! Last week it went from summer to fall and back again a couple of times. Periods of rain and very strong wind one day and pleasant the next. On the windy days fishing was tuff, on the good days the fishing showed more walleyes with a slight increase in size as well.

The cooler weather has been cooling the water temp which is what we like to see this time of year not only for better fishing but for the better shiners as well.

This week we're exspecting not only anglers looking for those walleye, but anglers taking in the last couple weeks for sturgeon as well. We are looking forward to a very exciting fall season!

The Holmberg Family sent us some great photos they took while they were here last week! They were fishing up by the Birchdale area where they caught this sturgeon. I'll be posting more of their photos on the brag board for you to check out!
Shiners are running wild! So thick you could walk across the bay on them at night! Water temp is still rather warm though, in the upper 60's.
Angler's have been catching smaller walleye and sauger with a 19" eye here and there. Sturgeon are a little quiet yet. Don't forget their season will be ending at the end of the month! We heard alot of them have been seen jumping in the lake this summer, more than usual. Smallies are still active and northern have been smaller. With the shiners running this will most likely change soon!

Hope everyone is having a great Labor Day! Summer has went by way to fast again, just ask my boys that start school tomorrow!

Fishing has been on and off and better for some than others. Sturgeon are still a little quiet. Smallies are still very active. Walleye numbers are getting better but no big size yet. One group did well shallow at 10-11 ft for walleye while another group hit better at 17-18ft.

Water temp today was about 68 degrees and although small, shiners are appearing more and more. Water level is not back to normal but still better than last year at this time.

Everyday it attempts to rain but drops is all we've seen lately. Temps have been cooler in the high 60's or low 70's which has been comfortable.
