Fishing Reports

Hunter caught a bigger walleye than Dad's last night and I'm not sure who was more excited, Hunter or Landon!
Fishing was rather quiet this week. Where you'd normally see active sturgeon jumping out of the water, all was quiet. But this weekend things started to turn around.
A neighbor reported catching a few walleye and northern last night and anglers here did the same even finding some saugers. No big numbers but a good end to an otherwise slow bite this week. Early morning and evening were best. Smallies, in large size, were active this weekend as well. Sturgeon even began jumping out of the water again although none were biting.
The best news comes from our neighbor to the west who spotted shiners in the river yesterday! Last night we got our first glimpse as well!

Weather has been beautiful with cooler nights. Fishing has been a little quiet the last couple days but their still biting.

Surface temp of the water is around 70 degrees lately and the current is mild. Little rain has us dry but the water levels are still better than they were last year at this time.

It's the time of year where we'll be watching for shiners now and will post it as soon as we begin to see them!

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lapse in reports lately! We went on a little siesta recently before the fishing kept us too busy!
And looks like our timing was pretty good too! Arik, shown here, caught a nice limit of walleye the other night about 8pm!
Anglers continue to catch many active small mouth bass right now as well.
The weather continues to be great with temps at a more comfortable level. We had our share of rain this summer, but it has become pretty dry as of lately.
