Fishing Reports

We were fishing a little deeper the other day and found about 22ft is where you want to be. We got a couple walleye including this 21" we caught and released. We also had some smaller saugers too. This one bit on the green color jig w/spinner and a crawler.

Fishing continues to get better on the river! Nick boated this 46" sturgeon last evening before I even got my line in the water!

The smallies were really active today at mid-day. Four are shown here. We also got four more and threw some back as well! Also caught was rock bass, perch and walleye. The walleye were smaller with a few eaters mixed in. The only color that seemed to attract the walleye was green. (spinners helped too) The surface temp has been 77 degrees lately and the boys take advantage of that swimming as much as possible before dog days!

Nice catch Spencer!

Only here a couple hours and pulling them in right of the bat! Spencer and his family were fishing in deeper water for the walleye today. Approximately 20 ft.

Our weather has been nice, no rain Ron, and we haven't felt too much of the hot, hot weather. Yet. Sounds like that will be Sunday and the days to follow.

Have a great weekend!

The Biri group did some great fishing this week catching numerous sturgeon! They tagged 3 and caught and released many more. It was great to have you!
Rain came and went this week periododically, never washed out the whole day, but was around long enough to prove me wrong! Biri's won't be trusting my rain prediction any time soon!
The rain didn't muddy up the river again, I think everything that was going to wash through for now has. Water levels are much better and fishing is improving. Nick has caught some walleye (15 inch) and a couple small saugers. Biri's also pulled some nice size northern this week and a friend of ours pulled a couple out this morning.

Fishing is picking up again on the river. We're seeing more sturgeon and more walleye! We're seeing more keepers in terms of walleye, with one or two in the 20in+. Anglers yesterday seen them at 14ft, still on top of the holes. Others did well deeper in front of the rapids in the bay. Northern have been more active again as well biting on those daredevils.

We've had rain off and on the last couple days and the mosquitoes are loving that so bring your bug spray! Other than some showers the weather has been beautiful!

Ed and son Danny tagged this 47 inch sturgeon yesterday right outside the bay! Nice catch guys!

The river is looking much, much better and we're looking forward to seeing some great catches!

Have a GREAT 4th of July!
