Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Well the snow came through last night but it wasn't an enormous amount. Anglers coming off the river tonight said the early part of the day was slow but it picked up this afternoon again. The wind kept the day on the river pretty chilly. Just a reminder, deer season opens this weekend! Any hunters still needing a place to stay in the next couple weeks just give us a call we're open year round!

The fishing has been great! Limits are being caught and larger walleyes are still making appearances. The bite can get soft at times but it doesn't take long and that changes. Weather has been stable and highs have been in the 40's. A front is coming through tonight. We haven't seen any snow at this time but it is to our west moving this way. After this front moves through temp's will cool a bit again, but will stable again, so we'll keep you posted on the bite. A Happy Birthday to my oldest! He turned 16years old yesterday!

Another great catch by the Constantine group! Their group is wrapping up a great week of fishing. "H" is shown here with a 29" inch walleye, he also pulled in two 27" walleyes. Jon C pulled in two 28" walleyes, a 26.5", 22", 24" and a 25". Larry got himself a 28.25". Mark brought in two 23" walleyes. Of course the week also produced many others 19.5" and under to keep these guys eating fish all week long!

Arik P caught and released this 10.5lb, 30" walleye tonight just as the sun went down! The fishing the last day or two has had mixed reviews. We've had groups say the fishing has been tough and other groups who've been doing very, very well. Just depends on who you ask right now. We're seeing more and more larger sizes that's for sure!

Brian Mueller caught this 28.5" walleye yesterday! The Mueller group pulled in over 50 walleyes yesterday! Water temp has been around the 40 degree mark the last couple days and levels are still on the low side. With low water levels make sure you be careful for objects just under the surface that would normally be deeper. One just up river from the bay, on the Minnesota side, was brought to our attention today. The fishing has been awesome with the cooler than normal temps.

Tim, Wally and Blaine will be eating fish again tonight!
After a couple slow days with the wind and the snow we finally seen some good fishing again. Yesterday was the 1st nice day we had in a week with temps in the low 40's and it was slow fishing. However today was much, much better! Temp's were in upper 40's, the sun was shining and the fish were biting. All our groups did very well today! Stay tuned for pictures! The water temp is an ideal 43 degrees at last check.

Snow!

We woke up to our first taste of snow this season today! It rained most of the evening but turned to snow. Our high today is going to only be in the 30's with a chance of a little more snow today. 50's will be back by the weekend. Anglers say this is what we need, water temp had risen again slowing the bite over the weekend, this should cool the temp and hopefully pick up the bite again! Although the slower bite hasn't prevented the anglers from getting their limit! And it also hasn't prevented anglers from finding the big ones! We had another group pull out a 28.5" walleye the other day and a group staying down the road caught themselves a 30"walleye!
