Signs of spring!

The bay is finally beginning to open as the 2nd photo shows. The 1st photo shows the pelicans moving in looking for these suckers they like to feed on.

Beautiful weather today and expected through the weekend :) Some rain will move in on Monday, but that will green things up I'm sure.

Sturgeon prespawn begins April 24th. Some anglers are coming up this weekend for a sturgeon tournament being held near the Lake. We look forward to seeing pictures! There are more and more new anglers taking interest in this sport and with that there are things some may not be aware of. One thing is properly holding these huge fish. We see many gilling them for photos, we have been guilty as well, but you don't want to gill them or hold them by the tail. You want to cradle them, preferably in a sitting position because of their strength. This is the best way to keep them safe and healthy :) If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
