We finally got enough ice to get our houses out today. The ice is good, about 10 inches, but there is a layer of slush between the snow and ice.

We went out tonight and I didn't do so hot, but the guys in the house next to us limited out. I think we were too shallow. Our other house that hit well was at about 16 ft. Needless to say we'll be making adjustments!
The walleye were deeper where the current was stronger. 1/2oz or heavier is best in the deep spots. Lighter will send your line down river. The shallow spot was less current but that wasn't where the fish were tonight. Morning is good, evening is better!
