Birchdale broke early this morning. Just the ice shown here is all that's left at the
Birchdale landing. Open water stretches to mile marker 154 now. Showers today are off and on still. Water in the river rose last evening
which gave us the push we were looking for. Only thing we need now is the fish to start biting! Frontier landing will be next, about 7 miles to go.
