It's hard to make out from the photo but standing at Frontier landing this evening you could see open water. The open spot expanded a great deal today. Open water is reaching just west of marker 149 (Frontier marker 148). Anglers were blocked by broken ice at marker 150 tonight but if it continues it's progress like today it won't be a problem to reach farther tomorrow and it should break open at Frontier very soon. A system is passing to the south of us but we're in the clear of that from what they tell us. Water levels at the Fork rivers and Manitou are currently on the decline. Anglers continue to have better fishing every day.
