The ice in front of the Birchdale landing has moved out except these last chunks. Open water hasn't moved far from where it was Sunday. Approximately marker 151 or it might be easier to recognize by the big blue silo on the Canadian side (note pic #1). The week is expected to be chilly but the sun should show an appearence around Thursday and the temps should start to pick up too. Fishing has picked up despite the cold weather. Anglers are now averaging between 16-18 catches per group in a day which is up from two to none!! Water temp from a group here had 32 degrees today.Tuesday, April 03, 2007
