Fishing Reports

The beautiful weather opened the river clear to Silver Creek now. This is a photo of Vidas landing near us. The bay here isn't open yet but it's only a matter a day or two now.

Well the prespawn walleye season has gone by for another year. Who would have guess the river would wait to the last week of the season to produce? Anglers were able to see some fantastic fishing before the end of the season! Art and I would like to again thank the numerous anglers who stopped by and guests who also pitched in and helped ease the cost that goes into river updates. And to all the letters and emails of appreciation. We'll definitely be out there again next year! Let's just hope the river doesn't wait until the last week of the season to be gracious!

Even if you didn't get a chance to stay here this year we'd love to see your catches! If you'd like to be posted just email me your photo with a quick note. We'd love to see them!

Walleye fishing may be taking a break but northern pike and small mouth bass continues in the river. May and June are great months for smallie fishing in the river and let's not forget sturgeon! Anglers will be out for catch and release this weekend and the sturgeon prespawn season opens April 24th for two weeks to keep one. Watch for photos of some BIG fish in the next couple weeks!
