The weather has been chilly as predicted which has the ice thickness on the river at 6 inches now. We have seen more and more action on the river from the smaller fish houses going on to snowmobilers up and down the river. Anglers ice fishing on the river yesterday already pulled in 9 walleye in just a short time. With a quick call to a few Resorts on the Lake they are reporting 6-7 inches up by Morris Point and are scheduling Wednesday to start putting out their houses. I took a ride up by the Gap yesterday and seen other resorts with their houses being gathered up as well. They are planning on moving them out later this week as well. We are also open this ice fishing season and are getting our houses set for river fishing this season. You can also snowmobile right up to a cabin from the river!
