Fishing Reports

Gusting winds and rain all day today. We recorded 2 inches of rain overnight. We are in a winter storm warning until tomorrow morning. Anglers tried fishing this afternoon, reporting that with the winds it was hard to anchor, even with 2 anchors. They did catch a couple small walleyes. No report on temperature, but according to Scott Canterbury's hands, it's COLD! I would imagine it has dropped since our last outing, probably in the low 50's. We go back to nicer weather starting Friday, which as in previous years, has raised the temp back up. Shiners are few in the bay, mostly skip-jacks with a few bigger ones. Once the storm passes over, things should settle back out.

Big fishing tournament this weekend, many pros pre-fishing the "gap" with better results than the river. Today a few on the river, probably because they were blown off the lake.
